Some minor edits and this one is pretty much spot on. Modified fire suit from BCR designs. Uncompressed tga available under 10w downloads.

10k rpm tach set added

Added an alternate set of tachs that calibrate to 10k rpm. Going for accuracy I also included the second needle pointer which is accurate for this model of autometer (actual tach new in the box here) Available under graphic enhancements.

bananna added

I thought I'd get this one uploaded before I forgot about it altogether. Just a fun fictional, the ram logo is front & center, the mnfgr logos are in the older locations, and the nineteen is on a ford now, but it's a clean & simple paint in 2048. Not to turn this into a speech, but the file like all the others is targa (tga) Meaning it needs to be added to your exports/imports directory and imported through opp manager.

in car...

If you scroll down the main page a ways to the white'69 Charger, below that you'll notice an in car shot depicting a Fusion cockpit. Notice the in car placard right below the ignition setup off to the right, it's a red & white sign that reads 'motorcraft' The thing about it that I really liked is the laminated texture quality of the sign. I thought it'd be nice if all could look similar in that area which is what I set out to do and came up with a workable effect. Below is essentially that same sign only modified with different logos.

At this point I could take any logo really and achieve a similar texture effect using a simplified template made from the original sign. What I'd like to do is make it available as an option, but in order to pull it off correctly requires some advanced knowledge of a photo editor (primarily overlay layers) Meaning there is more than one correct way to achieve the effect depending on what you're setting out to do (dark logo on white, reverse of white on dark, etc.) So as soon as I can make the option user friendly and painless, I'd like to get it up. I'm thinking it might require a brief tutorial as far as selecting the right layers and logo prep.

One other area I've been paying close attention to is paint. A lot of the automotive paints differ in quality quite a bit. Metallics range from dull to high gloss and thousands of variations in between. So I've been experimenting with metallic layers to achieve these effects. Normally you have one or two overlay/multiply layers as a metallic option, but two alone can't cover every automotive luster and finish. So if all goes planned, at some point I should have ready a set of metallic layers, possibly six or more that can be used to accurately replicate almost any finish. I still have a lot more to get out of the way as far as in car goes, but over the coming weeks there will be various details adding towards polishing up on the entire experience even more when it comes to cup simulation.

The 2010 Miller base wip. I've got a number of cars in stages of completion and getting behind on other stuff. This week I should have the revised 10 rpm tachs off to Denis.

Options...

Available shortly (probably sometime this week) will be a ten-thousand rpm
face for the dash tachs. From what I hear the eleven-thousand read out seems to
be more suited to the plate tracks. In any event, both will be available as a
preference. The preview below is experimental as far as the tach face goes. The
second needle is what's found on the silver faced autometer models of that type.
I can include the second needle as an option for both wide open and plate tracks
which I'll probably do. In any case, 10k rpm with or without the second needle
will be available across the board for either installment (nscs restrictor
plate, wing, or blade spoiler) Altering the second needle to point at the proper
redline dependant of plate or non plate tracks is an easy edit as well. The
carbon fiber dash layouts will be another alternative that is separate
altogether from the gauge layouts.
