NSCS 2010 V?
Officially we have a cup series right now both in the sim & real world drawing up similarities. Nascar is making changes to make following the sport more enjoyable and we're making changes in making the sim more enjoyable as well. Spoiler vs wing? We can do that, in fact we are committed to making whatever changes necessary to in order to keep nscs cutting edge throughout 2010.
Changes undergoing now on the present build represent what I think are necessary in both pushing the title to it's full potential and keeping the interest alive. Detailed realism and build quality are key, and that's what nscs has to offer and will offer throughout the year. Most likely in stages due to the evolvement of the car of tomorrow on track. The first re-evaluated installment of a Denis Rioux built cup modification is just around the corner & will honestly set the standard from this point forward not just when it comes to cup, but overall build quality as well.
There are many within the core group that make it all possible:
SmokeOR from Om3ga has been vital all throughout the development process.
Bob Childs of BCRracing has brought the template quality up to speed with that of the build quality of the models themselves.
Of course Denis and myself along with others who deserve mention like Colfork85 & psugorilla who are assets to have when attempting to extract as much realism as possible from what we set out to do.
That being said, with the start of a new decade, I've decided to restructure here as far as what's available, and what receives priority. A lot of downloads have been shelved and mods removed due to redirection. The entire point in having a site like this when I moved on creating it back in 2006 was to have a high emphasis on quality across the board (if I find something lacking, I don't expect to offer it to anybody else) If quantity was my agenda aside from quality, I could easily exceed 1,000 downloads here spanning four years now. Instead quality is my aim. I've shelved all gn70 material pending a revision. I've decided to withdraw all support of gn63 regardless of the work I've invested because I find it lacking. Primarily in the modeling (the Galaxie model honestly looks ridiculous) and the entire build is just sub-par all the way around. Vintage mods I'll elect to do in house instead where I can at least have some input on the build. So I'm beginning 2010 here with a fresh start focusing on heavy support of modern day cup with the nscs mod and moving on from there.
